Comments: Mr. Mokili Ole Sokoi joined this college with an advantage of having been exposed to some guiding duties at his former camp. He did not waste time in making progress in acquiring knowledge and skills. He was among the first students to adapt our new Photo Commentary recording.

To graduate in the Advanced Category, Mokili worked on a project – Animal Comprehensive Details and made a great job of it. He compiles 6 volumes of information in a well arranged and readable compilation.

With this kind of success, Mokili qualified to study for the Diploma and he is working hard on it with the same spirit he used during the Certificate level.

Daniel and Suzanne live in New York, NY and Daniel has two children, Maya, age 9 and Sam, age 6 (Suzanne's step-children). Suzanne studied Spanish and Latin American Studies at the University of Florida and has a Master's Degree in Education from Queens College. She have been teaching high school for ten years and currently teach high school Spanish and Italian at Ardsley High School in Ardsley, New York. Daniel grew up in Mexico City, Mexico and came to the United States for college. He graduated with a BA from the University of San Diego and then went on to attend and graduate from Columbia University School of Medicine. After attending Columbia University, he completed his residency with a speciality of Otolaryngology at NYU Hospital. He is currently practicing in West Nyack, NY. Daniel and Suzanne love to travel and their first trip to Africa was to do a safari in Tanzania this past July. They used Kensington Tours and that is where they met Mokili, a young Masai, who they chose to sponsor. The kids call Mokilli their African brother.

My fellow Students and all participants around

Good Afternoon!

            I’ve great honor to stand before you today thanking God upon this achievement of graduating as a Diploma graduate Student from this unique Professional Tour Guiding college.

            First of all I would like to thank God for touching my sponsor’s heart – SUZZAN GRINBERG who took me from formless situation into a formidable fighter.  The academic papers that I have now have given me ability to fight in life for my bright future.  SUZZAN GRINBERG made it possible throughout the way.  Mr Principal when I call back where I come from and see myself graduate today it gives me confidence that my future is in a good direction.  I can’t have enough words to express my thanks to my sponsor, God bless her in all aspects.

            Secondly,  is to thank Principal  for all that you have done for me, being as a teacher,  a leader and a role model. Your huge contribution has build a strong foundation in my career as a Professional Tour guide.  Mr Izoba sir, what could I do without you!  Your guidance in all the projects I presented to you is a proof of your impact that took me to three with a total of NINE volumes which distinguish me from others. Sir, for me, PROTS will always be an unforgettable memory that revolutionalized my mind and made me ecologically born again. The comparison factors between wildlife and ordinary human life have been very fantastic.  Hot discussions that went through the course and class interactions changed my perception towards nature which is now enjoyable, magical and more real.

Sir, be very sure of me to be a great PROTS ambassador everywhere I go.  By the way you’re a cheetah! You have trained your cub all hunting techniques.  So expect that I will be doing better in the tourism industry. 

Thirdly, I would like to thanks the all teaching staff.  Teacher Victor, Teacher Angel and the Secretary Jacqline.  It will not be fair if I tend to forget you, esp. Mr. Victor Bubelwa. Sir, your input in terms of knowledge based on the subjects your teaching has been very visible. I remember the time when I went on Field Attachment in Serengeti for 3 months, and I could use the very skills you gave to me. There and then I appreciated you that you are a good trainer. I will always be proud of you. Thank you very much!

Miss Angel did a lot of contributions and guidance as she could understand my obstacles in advance and clear them for me. She was a more than a teach and a sister to me. Thank you very much for being there whenever I needed you, Angel.

Likewise Miss Jacqline was never too busy for me. You were there to supervise, correct, check and help me in many secretarial tasks that gave me the success I am proud of now. Many congratulations!

Fourthly I will have to identify the presence of Mrs Izoba as our mum in the college – Alpha. She was always there to advise me and some others students around whenever she could see us we going wrong.  By the way she really made PROTS be my home.  I will always remember her for her kindness, courageous spirit and thoughtfulness.  But yet in the same boat food is very prominent sector in the college.  Mama Kabila is also one to be recognized for her catering services.  There are times I could be late taking food or other excuses but she was always calm and patient not only for me but also for the all students around. Mama Kabila, I will never forget the flavor of your MAKANDE!

Lastly I thank and appreciate the co-operation of my fellow students.  Sir, hadn’t it been of their co-operation in books, discussions etc.  I wouldn’t reach this far.  May god bless you ALL!  I could not mention names but I hope you all accept my heartfelt thanks. I wish you a good time and hope you excel in their beautiful carrier.  Let’s keep in touch!

So, Mr. Principal I ‘m a grown up cub and you as a mother Leopard am not waiting for a beating to go and look for my territory. I feel it in me that I can now go out there and face the world.
